When did you have to teach your toddler to use the toilet ?There is no set time for sure because each child has his own readiness period . However , usually they have started to show readiness to be trained from the age of 1.5 sd 3 years . Girls usually ready faster than boys .
Physical and mental readinessToilet training requires physical and mental readiness . Physically , your child should have been able to hold urine for several hours . This only occurs if the bladder muscles have evolved to allow it to hold urine . Mentally , he should have been able to recognize the signs of dying for a pee or defecate . Your child should also be able to communicate when he's dying through facial expressions , gestures or words , BEFORE actually pee or defecate .Here are some signs of toilet training readiness :

1 . Able to maintain diapers stay dry for at least 2 hours at a time

2 . Announce if he wants to urinate or large

3 . Understand when he asked to use the toilet

4 . Can follow simple instructions

5 . Attractive when wet and dirty diapers

6 . Showing interest in toiletToilet Training TipsIf your child has shown readiness , you can start by buying one of the two types of equipment available on the market : the potty toilet berpenampung itself to be emptied its contents into the toilet , or a special child bearing is seated on top of an adult toilet seat . For those of you who use a squat toilet , you may not need to buy toilet pads because a child can do with a squat or stand .Teach the child to use the toilet requires persistence . The process can take up to 3 to 6 months , although some children may take faster or longer. Here are some tips that may be useful when you are training your baby :

1 . Teach your child words needed for toilet training , such as wet , dry , dying , pee , ee , and others .

2 . Explain to the child use the toilet by doing a demonstration , for example by showing shit in the diaper into the toilet .

3 . Never force . When dying , ask the child whether he wants to use the toilet . Use the toilet only if he does not mind .

4 . Allow the child to play around with the toilet or sit on it fully clothed when he wants it .

5 . Quit doing potty training for a while if your child becomes frustrated or scared . Nothing wrong with taking a break and start training again later .

6 . Allow the child to look into the toilet waste water after the event " a success " .

7 . Invite him come to get used to flush toilets .

8 . Ensure that secure the toilet area . Keep soap , detergent , shampoo and other out of reach of children.

9 . Praise your child each time he managed to use the toilet
