Potty training. It is a blessing as well as a curse for sure. On the hand, it is all sorts of awesome one time it is over with because diapers are fundamentally hell on earth.But the actual process of toilet training your child, however, can sometimes be stress to make you require to keep him in diapers for the remainder of his life.
I do know that is how I felt in the work of my first attempt with my son, when they was around 2-and-a-half years elderly. I swear I attempted every process under the sun and they wasn't getting it. And so I did what most frustrated parents of a child who won't pee on the potty do. I threw in the towel, assuming that it probably wasn't the right time and that he'd "learn finally."
Second \. how shall I put this? Changing a 3-year-old's dirty diaper & changing a 3-month-old's dirty diaper are different things. Three-year-olds poop like children -- not children. & you finally reach a point where you are , over dealing with regular-sized turds. (Sorry, but I had to say it.)
But about a year later, when he was three I spotted potty training HAD to be bumped to the top of my priority list for a couple of reasons. Initially, he had to be fully trained before attending preschool, so I had that small incentive motivating me.
Ok, back to when I decided to try the potty training thing again. This time it worked, probably because he was prepared. But I still think the way I taught him had something to do along with his successful transition. I am not lying -- I potty trained my kid in days.
Here's how.
First, I committed to staying home. That is the hardest part. I vowed not to leave the house until the kid was trained or at least close to it.
Every time they successfully did his business on the potty I did a small song and dance that I made up to celebrate and praise him. They LOVED it, and I think it helped reinforce the behavior in a positive way -- so they desired to make use of the potty repeatedly.
Then I took off his pants and let him run all over the house half-naked. Every 45 minutes to an hour or so, I'd have him sit on the small training potty, which I put right in the midst of the kitchen where he'd have simpler access. (A small gross, but they got there much more quickly than trying to make it to the bathroom.) I even gave him a book to read while they sat there waiting like a small adult.

I think the reason it was so simple for him was because of a mix of him being the right age, and also going about the method without letting myself get stressed out or frustrated. And while I cannot guarantee that this system will work as flawlessly for you it is definitely worth a shot!
